2022 Member Insurance Rating Survey

The OOA Third Party Committee has created this survey tool for you and your staff to rate some of the most commonly accepted insurance companies in Ohio. The purpose of the survey is to provide OOA members with a peer-reviewed assessment to be used in your office as you see fit. The list is by no means exhaustive. If there is an insurer that your office regularly works with that is not on this list, please email Steve Dorman (sdorman@ooa.org) with the name of that company and your responses to each issue.  Results from the survey will be compiled into a report that will be distributed to all OOA members.  Please complete the survey to the best of your ability, rating only those insurers that your practice interacts with regularly. Some aspects of one insurer may not apply. For example, if you accept Medical Mutual but do in-house edging, you may want to mark “n/a” under Laboratory Service. One additional note, the survey does not differentiate between commercial and Medicaid/Medicare plans. In the instance where your office accepts both a commercial and public product from one company, you can focus on one, or average the plans together.
