• Roasting Ears of Corn Festival Dancer Registration

  • The Museum of Indian Culture invites you to participate in our 42nd annual Roasting Ears of Corn festival. The festival will be held rain or shine at the   Museum from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Grand Entrance will be at 12:00 noon.     
    The following are terms of agreement, and your signature below indicates your acceptance.

    Date: Sat. & Sun. August 20 & 21, 2022 Rain or Shine
    Time: 11:00 am–6 pm **
    Place: Museum of Indian Culture

    Terms: Participate in Grand Entry, Exhibition, and Intertribal /
    Social dances / retiring of flag

    Honorarium:

    $50 / day - Adults
    $25/ day - Youths

    In our hospitality area, snacks and drinks will be provided both Saturday and Sunday until 4 pm and lunch will be served between 12:45 and 2:15. We have reserved a canopy for dancers at the drum arbor with limited seating. Please bring your own chairs.

    ** For Day Money, all contracted day money dancers must register no later than 11:45 am each day. When registering for day money, all Dancers MUST be in proper and full regalia. 

    All Dancers must meet the terms of this contract to receive day money. Day money will be paid after the flags are retired each day at Dancer Registration (back gate). Please see below for Schedule of Events. This Schedule is tentative and is subject to change.

    ABSOLUTELY NO PETS, WEAPONS, DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ON THE PREMISES.
    The Museum of Indian Culture is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items or for personal injury.

  • CAMPING: All RVs and Motor homes must be set-up in the parking area, along the tree line. A separate primitive camping area is designated for tents. The Museum will provide water and firewood. However,
    there is no electric, telephone services or shower facilities. Portable toilets will be available on the grounds. The museum and its restrooms will be closed to the public during the festival.

    Please note: Day Money Contracts are limited and are honored on a first come basis. With safety at top priority, we are following all COVID-19 CDC, state and local health and safety guidelines closely for outdoor events and will adjust procedures as needed. Additionally, with the nature of the pandemic, or extreme weather conditions, the event could cancel at any time.
