• Brazilian Blowout

    Information + Aftercare
  • What is it?

    - Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing treatment to help fight against frizz and humidity. It is not a relaxer because we are only coating the outside of the hair.
    - Because it is not a relaxer, you can still keep your natural curl/wave pattern. You will also be able to maintain your volume.
    - It smooths the hair cuticle to reflect light and creates shine.

    - Fills holes in hair cuticle from hot tools, being outside in the sun, and any damager from lightening the hair.
    - Because it fills your hair cuticle, your color will last longer.

    - May not have to wash your hair as often because you wake up with less stress and frizz.
    - Cuts blow drying time in half.
    - Hair MAY grow faster because of the hair protection, and also because you won't need to heat style your hair as much.

    * Difference between Brazilian Blowout vs Keratin Treatments: BBO uses vegetable based amino acids and since they are soooo small, they are able to penetrate into every crevice of the hair.

  • Aftercare

    - Brazilian Blowouts last up to 3-5 months, depending on how often you wash your hair and which products you are using.
    - You MUST use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfate (and salt) products WILL strip out the treatment.
    * Best recommended shampoo and conditioner is the Brazilian Blowout's Anti-frizz (can be purchased off their website) OR ask me about my favorite Kevin Murphy products for your hair type.

- There is no wait time! You can go swimming or wash hair the same day
as your service, although I always say to give it a couple of days before getting your hair wet.
    - You must color your hair BEFORE getting the Brazilian Blowout treatment, as the color will block the treatment from penetrating. Color may be done on the same day, and the treatment will actually help seal the color in.
*If you are planning on coloring your hair after a Brazilian Blowout treatment, you must wait 2 weeks.
