  • This year, as we serve the community, we would like to foster a spirit of camaraderie amongst our storytellers, to not only enjoy the art of oral storytelling but also to succeed as a team. To this end, we have guidelines for all our volunteer storytellers.

Please read through the Guidelines for Storytellers below. These guidelines are meant to build mutual respect between tellers and to build trust with our supporters as well as our audiences.

At the same time, we will need you to take note of the Expectations and Commitments of our storytellers and Preview Dates prior to the Festival dates.

  • Storyteller Guidelines and Expectations

  • From past experience, the 398.2 Storytelling Festival has been a good opportunity for storytellers, regardless of their level of experience, to hone their skills together.  Our partner, NLB, and our audience are pleased with the engaging and interesting programme put forth every year. Therefore, we would like all the tellers to understand the commitments and expectations.

We encourage collaboration among storytellers. This is where we bond, have fun and get to know one another. Storytellers will form teams based on their time slots. Each team will be in a chat group for group discussions.
