FORMAT OPTIONS
1. Platform presentation: An oral presentation of your research lasting 15 minutes using PowerPoint slides. If possible, platform presentations will be given in-person and will be live-streamed for our virtual attendees.
2. Pitch presentation: An oral presentation of your research lasting 3 minutes using PowerPoint slides and a quad chart accompaniment (https://www.thinkoutsidetheslide.com/issue-348-october-13-2015/). Pitch presentations can be given in-person or virtually and will be entered into the best presentation competition. The presentation is separate from the quad chart and the quad chart will be uploaded onto the website.
Note: Abstracts submitted for platform presentation (15 minutes) but not selected will be placed in the pitch presentation (3 minutes) competition.
ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
The body of the abstract is limited to 2800 characters including spaces (does not include title, authors or affiliations). All abstracts should include the following components:
Background: 1 or 2 sentences only
Hypothesis (if applicable)
Methods: Include descriptive experimental approach and appropriate details of statistical analyses
Results: Includes data/metrics and statistical analysis
Conclusions: 1 or 2 sentences only
SUBMISSION DEADLINES
07/29/22: Consideration for a travel award or platform talk
09/02/22: Late breaking abstracts (considered for pitch presentations only)
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
-For abstracts submitted by 07/29/2022 notice of format (platform or pitch presentation) and acceptance will be given by 08/05/2022.
-For abstracts submitted by 09/02/2022 notified of acceptance for a pitch presentation will be given by 09/09/2022.
