About AHTD

For over 35 years the Association for High Technology Distribution (AHTD) has worked to increase the productivity, profitability, and market share of our Automation Solution Providers and Manufacturers. Today, through a wide spectrum of association programs and services, designed by and for members, AHTD is a valuable resource for member companies to achieve their goals.

Manufacturer Membership (MAN) manufactures industrial automation products (IAP) for use in manufacturing machines, processes, or systems which require technical application expertise and their primary sales channel must be through independent ASPs.

Automation Solution Providers (ASP) are independent value-added distribution organizations that focuses on the sale of Technology based industrial automation products (IAP), Design and application engineering, and Support services.

The Senior Executive responsible for all sales philosophy, distribution policies, and operations for Industrial Automation Products (IAP) must agree to and in fact attend at least one meeting per year. While the Senior Executive is urged to attend two meetings per year, only one is required to maintain membership privileges. I certify that all of the information submitted within this application is correct and in order. Additionally, I confirm that the Senior Executive described above will attend and participate in AHTD meetings, as required under AHTD bylaws. I acknowledge that to become an Automation Solution Provider member of AHTD, an applicant must fulfill the ASP Eligibility Requirements for the current year, and for the three full years immediately preceding membership, and during the course of membership. AHTD may, at its discretion, approve members that do not meet ASP eligibility requirements if AHTD deems the ASP would add value to the association. Applicant agrees to comply with AHTD bylaws, rules and regulations and must certify that they meet the membership eligibility requirements by providing documentation to that effect, if requested by the Board of Directors.

The Senior Executive responsible for all sales philosophy, distribution policies, and operations for Industrial Automation Products (IAP) must agree to and in fact attend at least one meeting per year. While the Senior Executive is required to attend at least one meeting per year, AHTD encourages the participation of the CEO, President, CFO, etc., many of whom currently attend AHTD meetings. To be a Manufacturer Member of AHTD, the applicant must fulfill, on a continuing basis, the Eligibility Requirements for Manufacturer members. I certify that the primary sales channel for IAPs must be independent ASPs (i.e., ASP must operate its business free from direct or indirect control by any manufacturer whose product the ASP sells), who resell to the ultimate customer in the industrial control and plant automation marketplace. I certify that all of the information submitted within this application is correct and in order. Additionally, I confirm that the Senior Executive described above will attend and participate in AHTD meetings, as required under AHTD bylaws. Applicant agrees to comply with AHTD bylaws, rules and regulations and must certify that they meet the membership eligibility requirements by providing documentation to that effect, if requested by the Board of Directors.
