We are committed to representing, and empowering people who have not been able to reach across the continents to showcase their talent in music, fashion, cinema, and business. This year BAAADU will present the GLOBAL DIGITAL FILM FESTIVAL in collaboration with Africa Youth Kingdom and Taliane TV to showcase cinema exeptionalism from around the world.  

We accept all genres and lengths, fiction, documentary, action, adventure, comedy, sci-fi, thrillers, horror, nonfiction features, shorts, music videos, photography, composition, and experimental projects as long as a positive message is promoted.

By submitting your work, you have the opportunity to be seen and showcase your talent as a Director, Writer, Producer, and those talents of your Actors and Crew. Artist DO NOT have to attend to be promoted by BAAADU in our global markets. We will still promote and spotlight the artist through our social media avenues and marketing.

 Submission Rules:

• All entries will be judged on the filmmaker's content, creativity, imagery, story, and skill. Works in progress will be accepted. Online screeners, DVDs (NTSC Region 1), and Blu-Rays are welcome for submission and consideration by the Selection Committee.
• We screen all films including finalists (films that receive a nomination) during our online event.
• All other official selections will be presented in our online showcase and do not require a DCP.
• THE PAL SYSTEM IS NOT ACCEPTED.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Accepted Formats: Films, documentaries, series, and shorts in any genre.

Eligibility: Open to independent and professional creators worldwide.

Requirements: High-resolution video files, a trailer (optional), a synopsis, and promotional materials like posters or stills.

BAAADU Festival Inc. is hereby granted the right to utilize footage, and promotional materials supplied by the submitting agent from any film submitted and accepted film, video, or project for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. GLOBAL DIGITAL FILM FESTIVAL may use footage from their projects to promote the Festival, their film, or the Event via print, web, and broadcast television.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless BAAADU Festival Inc., & The International Film Festival, its vendors, sponsors, and supporters from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. SUBMITTING CONTENT

BAAADU Festival will use the term "content" to mean and refer to any and all content, videos, films, media, captures and all other materials, such as publicity stills or other supporting content you submit to us.

Each time you submit your content, you will be confirming your acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, all the terms and conditions of BAAADU Festival’s Terms of Use, including, without limitation, this Agreement.

To be considered for the BAAADU Festival, your content must meet all the specifications and requirements relating to formatting, compatibility, operating characteristics and submission. Your content must meet BAAADU Festival’s Content Requirements.

We will not be responsible for lost, damaged, misdirected, unusable or unreadable content.

 2. AGE REQUIREMENTS

There are no age restrictions or requirements for the festival. If you are considered a minor where you live (generally under 18 years of age) and you submit content for selection in the BAAADU Festival, you are confirming that you have received your parent’s/guardian’s express consent to do so and that your parent/guardian (i) has read and, on your behalf, agrees to be bound by this agreement; and (ii) understands, agrees and shall be fully responsible for your submission.

 3. CONTENT REQUIREMENTS

You are solely responsible and liable for the content you submit (and the consequences thereof) made under your name, user name, e-mail address, password, and your registration or profile information. The content does not reflect the views of the BAAADU Festival. The Festival reserves the right, at any time, without notice and without limiting any and all other rights we may have under this Agreement, at law or in equity, to remove and delete your entry to the BAAADU Festival. You agree that you will not submit any content that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually, racially, culturally, or ethnically offensive, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, discriminatory or abusive. You also agree you will not submit any content for commercial or business purposes because it may adversely affect BAAADU’s Festival’s ability to gain support from third parties which assist the BAAADU Festival and website to continue. BAAADU Festival reserves the right to delete or reject any content that in its sole discretion deems abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, in violation of copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights. BAAADU Festival reserves the right to remove and take down your content without notice if any content is in violation of any of the terms or conditions of this Agreement. If it receives notice of any claim of infringement that satisfies specific legal requirements, it may remove content associated with such claims and will notify you if your content is removed. In regards to intellectual property, you are fully responsible for the clearance of any music, sound, images or graphics contained in your entry. If any record company or music publisher contacts us about an entry’s music rights, we will refer that company to you so be sure to obtain all the appropriate clearances beforehand.

 4. COPYRIGHT; CONTENT REQUIREMENT VIOLATIONS; BREACH OF AGREEMENT

If you believe any content on shown at the BAAADU Festival violates the copyright of any other party or violates the terms of this Agreement or in any other way infringes upon the rights of others, you can notify us via the online contact form.

 5. RIGHTS GRANTED TO BAAADU FESTIVAL

In connection with the content you submit to us for consideration in the and associated video casts, you are authorizing BAAADU Festival the right to view your content for judging and then screen your film at the awards night if you are in the top ten finalists. This includes publishing the film to the BAAADU Festival website and Facebook page if you have selected the option on the entry form. The rights described in this agreement are granted to commence immediately upon submission of content to and continue indefinitely. Note that BAAADU Festival holds non-exclusive rights to your film and that you are permitted to have your film entered into other festivals while it is an entrant in the BAAADU Festival.  After the awards night, all films who selected to have their films published onto the festival website, will have their films published onto the website and possibly Facebook. You may write to us at any time and request the removal of your film, whereupon we will remove your content from our website and all associated distribution within 3 working days.

BAAADU Festival has the right to include your film or parts of your film in its promotional activities. This may include, but is not limited to, the creation of show reels and advertisements promoting the BAAADU Festival, physical screenings, viral campaigns, presentations and product pitches.

6. OWNERSHIP

BAAADU Festival does not claim any ownership rights of the content that you submit to us. You retain all rights, title and interest in and to BAAADU Festival, including, but not limited to all associated intellectual property and proprietary rights existing anywhere in the world and you acquire no ownership, proprietary or other rights, title or interest in or to the BAAADU Festival, any software or other information or materials we provide or make available to you. BAAADU Festival will not be liable for malfunctions, loss of data, damage to hardware, programs or devices resulting from use of any software or interaction with us. You must use your own programs and firewalls to scan all software, to prevent intrusion, viruses, other malicious code and damage. BAAADU Festival is not responsible for any damage if you fail or are unable to do so.

You must own the rights to the content you submit and each element of the content you submit and the right to grant all of the authorizations, rights and licenses described in this Agreement. If you do not exclusively own all of these rights, you must have all necessary authorizations, permissions, approvals, consents, rights and licenses from the owner(s) to enter into this agreement, perform and comply with all of its obligations.

 7. INDEMNIFICATION

Your indemnification obligations under the Terms of Use include any third party claims arising from or caused by your content, the submission of your content, BAAADU Festival’s use of your content consistent with the rights granted to by this agreement and/or any use you may make of the service.

 8. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Your use of BAAADU Festival is at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your content, the representations and obligations under this agreement and for any damages to your computer system or loss of data resulting from your use of the service.

Disclaims all liability for any use not specifically authorized or that is in violation of this agreement or the laws or regulations that may apply to you in any jurisdiction or country. Expressly disclaims all liability for any and all damages, whether direct, consequential, special, indirect, exemplary or punitive damages, howsoever arising or caused, whether foreseeable or not, regardless of the form of action or the basis or characterization of the claim and even if advised of the possibility of damages.

 9. GENERAL

This Agreement, together with our Terms of Use, is the entire agreement between you and relating to your submission of content for use in at BAAADU Festival and the subject matter of this agreement supersedes any prior or inconsistent agreements may terminate this agreement with you, your registration and your right to use BAAADU Festival at any time without notice to you.

 10. FEES

Submission fees are non-refundable, no exceptions. This event is FREE. Cost to submit is sponsored by AFRICA YOUTH KINGDOM
