    VIRTUAL TRAIN THE TRAINER - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST APPLICATION
  • CALM is a one-day suicide intervention/prevention workshop that teaches four key actions: Connect, Ask, Listen, and Monitor to build confidence, knowledge, and skills.

    CALM Care is a half-day suicide safety & awareness workshop that provides knowledge and skill around connecting, asking, referring, and exiting the model.

    The combined CALM and CALM Care T4T (Virtual Train the Trainer), is effectively delivered over a 5-day period providing you with full accreditation to deliver both programs virtually** or in-person.

    Day 1 & Day 2 The one-day program is presented over two half days to account for virtual fatigue and ensuring participants can consolidate their learnings. Day one and day two starts at 8:30am and finishes at 1:00pm Queensland time.

    Day 3  – Each component of the CALM model will be explained and explored in full detail covering the evidence and practice theories that underpin and informs the model. How to nagivate the contents of the Trainers Kit will be covered in the afternoon. The third day starts at 8:30am and finishes around 3-4pm (depending on the size of the group).

    Day 4 – The CALM Care half-day program will be delivered in its entirety to provide a comprehensive overview. The difference between programs, evidence, and delivery will be outlined. The afternoon focuses on the organizing, planning, preparation, and presentation of a CALM/CALM Care workshop, and how to log into the website, navigate the available resources and purchase materials.

    Day 5 – Each participant will have the opportunity to practice and present a section of the program to ensure they have understood the intent and delivery method of the CALM/CALM Care models as well as enabling them to gain confidence in their presentation styles.

    Once you have completed the T4T and have been assessed as competent you will have achieved your accreditation, and be asked to submit a signed Accent HR Pty Ltd Trainers Agreement. When this is received, you will be sent your Trainers Accreditation certificate. 

    Attendance Requirements:

    CALM and CALM Care accreditation - two half days, followed by three full days
    CALM accreditation - two half days, followed by one full day, another half day and a final full day.
    CALM Care accreditation - 2 full days

    CALM accreditation, $3250 +GST
    CALM Care accreditation, $2000 +GST

    • Full attendance and active participation in the program on the nominated training dates and times.

    • Delivering at least two (2) workshops to a minimum of six (6) participants annually to retain accreditation.

    • The purchase of participant materials from Suicide Programs for each participant trained.

    • On completion of each training delivered, you are required to submit a trainer’s report, an attendance list of participant names and email addresses, participant pre and post evaluation forms, and End User Agreements.

    • Participant materials are purchased directly from Suicide Programs website.

    • Shop orders are required at a minimum of two weeks in advance from your training date. All materials are posted via Express Post and signature on delivery.

    • Sign an Accent HR Trainers Agreement at the successful completion of the T4T. (A copy of this agreement can be supplied upon request). (Please note accreditation is at the discretion of the CEO of Suicide Programs). Should you be deemed as not yet competent, additional support, one on one coaching and attendance at a future T4T will be offered.

    • When delivering the CALM 1-day Suicide Intervention training, 15 participants (minimum 6) may be presented by 1 trainer, however, with 15-25 participants, it is mandatory that a support person, a co-trainer or well-being officer is present to provide additional support if needed.  25 participants per workshop is the maximum for the 1-day CALM and 30 participants for the 1/2-day CALM Care program.

    • **The CALM 1-day and CALM 1/2-day virtual programs are not to be delivered to the public to ensure safety of all participants, it can only be delivered to employees or volunteers from a company or an organisation.

    • Minimum age of participants/ end users is 18 years old, however with parental consent 16 years of age and above.

    • The Trainers USB in your Trainers Kit will provide you with all the resources required to market and facilitate the CALM and CALM Care workshops including all marketing materials, trainers’ manuals, PowerPoints, videos, and role-plays.
