  • The Fraser River Discovery Centre is located on the traditional territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Halq̓eméylem speaking peoples. Territory acknowledgement is one small part of Reconciliation. Please take a moment to think of other ways you can participate in Reconciliation with Indigenous communities.

  • TELL US ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL

  •  -
  • CHOOSE WHEN YOU'D LIKE EDUCATORS TO VISIT

FRDC educators will travel to your school/organization.

Programs are offered Monday to Friday during your regular hours.

Please choose 2 consecutive dates for an instructor to visit your school. As the program's heavy equipment takes time to set up and take down, we need to keep the equipment at the same location for multiple days.

We also want to offer this free program to as many students as possible, so please work with your teaching team to ensure that at least 2 classes will participate in the program each day. Classes will participate separately.

Request must be received 3 weeks before desired program dates.

Please email agarsson@fraserriverdiscovery.org or call at 604-818-7008
if you have any special requests or concerns.

  • Please note this is a booking request only.

You will be contacted shortly during our Program Coodinator's hours
(Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm)

  • Should your school/organization need to cancel an outreach visit:

Please let our Program Coordinator know at least 14 days before the visit is scheduled to take place. If a workshop is cancelled less than 14 days before the outreach visit, then a $100 cancellation fee will be charged. If you have further questions about the cancellation policies for River Champions, please contact agarsson@fraserriverdiscovery.org to learn more.

    • Masks are required for students and participating adults during the in-person program.
    • FRDC educators will sanitize frequently touched materials before the workshop.
