ABOUT THE COLUMBUS FASHION COUNCIL
The Columbus Fashion Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing scholarships to fashion design students and creating platforms for local and emerging designers to grow. We aim to strengthen the fashion economy in Central Ohio by supporting industry growth, community partnerships, access to resources, and creative programming.
We are proud to keep fashion talent living and working in Central Ohio. Since 2010, we've awarded nearly $65,000 in scholarships and have made a lasting impact on over 220 designers, 2,000 models, 2,000 volunteers, and 1,000 fashion professionals. Our more than 200 fashion events have created real opportunities for people building careers in the fashion industry.
Volunteers are the heart of this work. Whether you're looking to learn more about the industry, build your network, or simply give back to the community, your time and energy make a difference. Many of our volunteers have used their experience with us as a stepping stone to careers in fashion, events, design, media, and more.
Our programs include Fashion Week Columbus, the Columbus Fashion Council Scholarship, Columbus Fashion Awards, Fashion Presentations, The Fashion Industry Conference, Fashion Industry Mixer, Philanthropy Meets Fashion, and Common Thread Shops on Third.
As Columbus City Council President Shannon Hardin said, “Each year Fashion Week Columbus brings together designers, artists, and brands to showcase what fashion means in Columbus. The Columbus Fashion Council has made big moves since its debut.”
We invite you to be part of this impact. Sign up, show up, and grow with us.
