    Make sure you have:

    • provided sufficient explanation around how compliance with the conditions of the consents as well as the provided notes have been achieved.
    • referred to the subsequent engineering approval letter and completed any requested works.
    • included details of the contractors who have undertaken the works eg, sewer, water, stormwater, roading, and site preparation works including the name and certification number of the registered drainlayers.

  • LT Plan and Easement Schedules

    Make sure you have checked that your LT plan schedule matches your as-built plans so that there are no discrepancies between the proposed easements and where services are installed.

  • As-Built Plans

    Make sure as-built plans correctly reflect what has been constructed and that they contain the following information:

    • dimensions to all new junctions on the main in all cases where the house connection is not laid square-off the position where it crosses the boundary line, or where the junction position would not be obvious for future location
    • dimensions for all new work within the property
    • coordinates for water tobies and manholes
    • the location of all subsoil drains and discharge points, including all associated dimensions to accurately define their position
    • the drainage contractor’s name and drainage certification number
    • notes about SW detention tanks. Eg, volume and orifice size as applicable
    • visible differentiation between new and existing services
    • visible differentiation between public and private services
    • a separate detail if the plan is crowded
    • appropriate labelling of revisions if revisions are required.

  • If you have not received clearance by the time you apply for sign-off, 224c can be granted based on the following:

    1. submission of a co-signed works contract with the utility provider
    2. works are physically installed/completed and shown on as-built plans
    3. proof the WEL/Chorus invoice has been paid
    4. demonstration that the developer has undertaken all reasonable endeavours to get the clearance letters including completing steps A-C.

    Where applicable, please include details/reports on the following items:

    • sewer and stormwater pipe pressure testing results (details of test pressure, date undertaken and, HCC representative present)
    • Water main pressure testing and disinfection (details of test pressure, date undertaken and HCC representative present)
    • Water main bacteriological test result
    • Benkelman beam carriageway testing
    • Any other applicable tests undertaken relating to the engineering aspects of the development

    In your forms, make sure that you have:

    • checked figures; monetary, numerical, and units
    • only included public assets previously agreed on with council
    • not included an private drainage pipework eg. stormwater or sewage laterals.

    • all certifications and producer statements as required by the resource consent or engineering approval conditions
    • any required maintenance schedules for stormwater attenuation devices
    • any required maintenance schedules and operation manuals for the wastewater mitigation pump stations.
