Welcome to the Family Texas Charger's Registration. This section is for families; (person with CHARGE, parents/guardians of individual with CHARGE, siblings to person with CHARGE, grandparents of a perosn with CHARGE, and one Nurse/Attendant.)

We ask that grandparents register separately from the family by clicking on the Grandparent Registration link on the Texas Chargers' Events Tab.  

Texas Family: $250.00 per family (person with CHARGE, parents/guardan of person with CHARGE, siblings, grandparents and one attendant) which includes lodging for both nights and six meals.

Other Guest: This includes additional family members that are not included ie. aunts, uncles, and friends. 

Other Adults Guest: $250 per person, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals.

Other Children Guest (12 and younger): $150 per person, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals. 

Day Guest: $100 per person, includes lunch.

Out of State Registration: $300 per person, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals. $200 per child under the age of 12 and younger, which includes lodging for both nights and six meals. 

Please note that if your family needs assistance with the registration fee please contact your individual with charges school district, local community organizations, or go to the www.texaschargers.org events tab and complete the scholarship form. 

Payments are due by April 1st, 2023

By checking the box below you are agreeing to pay or working to get payment for your registration fee. All registrations are tentative until a payment is recieved or a PO is recieved by the registrar. Once a payment is recieved you will receive a confirmation email from the registrar. 

Invidviduals with CHARGE will have the option to be assigned to scheduled activities or to have their individuals with CHARGE not attend scheduled activities.

If you decide to have your individual with CHARGE sign up for scheduled activities the following information will help us to serve them better.

Persons with CHARGE may be assigned a one on one volunteer for activities or for child care as deemed appropriate.  Families are encouraged to bring their attendant as volunteers will be available on Saturday only.

This information will be provided to the volunteer in order to help them understand your individual with CHARGE. Please be as dicriptive as you can, to give our volunteers a clear description of your individual with CHARGE. 

The phrase Scheduled Activities refers to any individual with CHARGE for any age and siblings age 0-17. In some cases, if volunteers are not available, an attendant may be required in order to participate in some activities. We highly recommend bringing your attendant with your family. 

Every Child attending the Texas Chargers Retreat will be placed into the scheduled activities area based on age and need. 

The following information will help us better prepare for your indiviual with CHARGE syndrome.

Camp Allen's hotel rooms have two double beds in each room; TV's nor refrigerators are provided in the hotel rooms. Some hotel rooms do have a refridgerator and if one is needed please include that on your registration.

Should you desire you are welcome to bring a small TV/DVD player, make sure you bring your DVD's. There is a TV Lounge located in the Richardson Wing which has satallite. Please note this is a common area for all Camp Allen Guest. Children under the age of 18 should be accomopanied by an adult.

Camp Allen does offer complimentary high speed internet and additional speeds can be purchased if necessary.

I herby give The Texas Chargers, Inc. the right to photograph, video tape, and sound record the acts, appearances, utterances of me/my son/my daughter/my ward/or any member of my family or party member in connection therwith and without limit as to time, to produce and reproduce the same or any part therfor by any method,and to use said photographs, teletapes, films, video tapes and sound recording for any purpose which The Texas Chargers, Inc. deems properin the interest of internet, newspapers, television media, brochures, pamphlets, instructional material, books and clinical material, medical education, knowledge, or research. All such photographs, teletapes, films and sound recordings shall be the exclusive propery of The Texas Chargers, Inc. and I herby relinquish all rights, title and interest therein.

With respect to the foregoing matters, no inducements or promission have been made to us/me to secure our/my signature(s) to the release other than the intention of The Texas Chargers, Inc. to use or cause to be used such photographs, films and pictures for the primary purpose of promoting and aiding The Texas Chargers, Inc. and its works. (its works includes but not limited to providing photographs, films, pictures, or recordings to grant funders or other marketing needs) 

Further, I understand and agree that photos, video tapes, or recordings of any nature maybe used by the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired for creating marketig materials and other needs as deemed appropriate by the Texas Charge Board of Directors.

This is to release and indemnify the Texas Chargers, Inc. from any liablity to any party during your stay at Camp Allen. The Texas Chargers, Inc. requirement is that you/your family, guests, attendants, or any other person for who you are acting as guardian or representative, will assume full responsiblity for anyone brought onto the premises for any damage or injury of any nature whatever they may incur to themselves, their property, and Camp Allen property while on permises, and yhat you assume that your insurance coverage will extend to any such injury or damage.
