Correct Display of Dismissal Tag
Correct way to display Car Rider Tags. Please leave on rearview mirror until your child boards your car. Must be visible in order for your child to be released.

Incorrect way to display Car Rider Tags. Please do not put on dashboard where it is difficult for staff member to read and record your number.
NHK8 CAR RIDER PICK-UP PROCEDURES

FOLLOW THE CAR LANE ROUTE-PAY ATTENTION TO THE CONES. DO NOT CUT THROUGH.

THIS is A NO CELL PHONE ZONE.

Please help us expedite the pick-up time and keep our students safe.

1.Hang Your Car Tag from Your Review View Mirror. It is difficult to see car tag on dashboard. If you don't have your car tag, please have your ID ready. Students are only released to individuals who are listed on emergency contact list with the school. ID must be presented to confirm with record. REQUEST a NEW tag if lost or changes made to florence.shearer@sccpss.com.

2. Stay in Assigned Lane: Do not change lanes. Switching lanes disrupts the sequence of our groupings. We load 10 cars for efficiency; 5 in the Right Lane and 5 in the Left Lane.

3. Stay in Car: For safety purposes, ALWAYS remain in car even if asked to pull up & over. We can't load students to parents out of their car. No walk ups to pick up students. If there's an emergency, please park in the lot and go into the office before 2:30 PM.

4. Stay Alert: Put away distractions when dismissal begins (phones/IPads, books, sunshades, etc.) Set an alarm if you are early & nap.

5. Pull up to Traffic Director & Put Your Car in Park: Car remains IN PARK until all are loaded. If your child is not outside with the designated group, you will be asked to pull over by staff. An adult staff will bring child to you.

6. Teachers Load All Children: Teachers load children (even middle school student) for safety purposes.

7. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL & PATIENT: Teachers work diligently in heat, cold, & rain with safety as the top priority. Respect is required. Cars can be dangerous weapons. Ramp rage will be reported/prosecuted through the police.
