  • July 2022 Commuter Fund Application

  • About Theatre Community Fund: The mission and purpose of the Theatre Community Fund of Kansas City, is to support all theatre artists, technicians, and supporting staff in times of financial distress or hardship with volunteer support, food bank donations, and direct financial relief.

What This Funds: TCF has created a monthly commuter fund to assist artists in the first few weeks of rehearsal. These funds are extremely limited and are subject to dispersal dependent on availability. These funds are designated for the use of purchasing gas and will be in the amount of $30.00. If chosen for funding TCF will contact you to arrange the disbursement of funds. Applicants will be notified 7 days after the submission date with a notification letter informing the applicant of the Panels decision. Many artists live gig to gig, and those first few days before the first paycheck can be an extreme challenge. This fund is created and designed to alleviate this stress!

    Eligibility:
Applicants must be actors, stage managers, designers or technicians who reside in the Greater Kansas City area and performed in, designed, or assisted at a local theater in the Greater Kansas City area. Applicants may apply once a month until funded. Applicants should be aware that they may only receive funding twice in a calendar year. Members of TCF's executive grant committee are glad to answer any questions about eligibility.  Please email us at grants@theatrefundkc.org
