Introduced by the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission is the NDIS Code of Conduct, this is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of people with disability. The Code of Conduct applies to ALL workers and service providers delivering NDIS support or services, including employees, contractors, and volunteers.
Before Commencing employment with Absolute In Home Care you are required to complete the online NDIS Workers Orientation Module, which explains the NDIS Code of Conduct expectations.
I confirm that as an employee delivering support services in the NDIS and have read, understood and I will:
- Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination, and decision-making in accordance with applicable laws and conventions
- Respect the privacy of people with disability
- Provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner with care and skill.
- Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency.
- Prompt take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that may impact the quality and safety of supports and services provided to people with a disability.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence against, and exploitation, neglect, and abuse of, people with disability.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.

I acknowledge that the Code of conduct is an expectation of all persons employed or otherwise engaged by a provider to support a person who is participating in the NDIS and related services.
I understand that failure to comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct, or disclose a conflict of interest, is a serious breach of the conditions of my employment which may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
