  • Intramural Officials and Scorekeepers assist in running intramural sports and activities by officiating games, enforcing rules, and recording scores and rosters. Intramural Sports typically take place Monday–Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with occasional weekend events, and staff are still eligible to participate in leagues themselves. Officials work between 6 and 15 hours per week and no previous experience officiating is required.

  • Esports Facility Assistants support daily operations in Belmont’s state-of-the-art Esports Studio by providing excellent customer service, monitoring facility usage, and assisting with gaming equipment setup and troubleshooting. Working 6–15 hours per week, including weekend shifts, these team members help enforce facility policies, support special events and competitions, and contribute to a fun, inclusive, and innovative gaming environment.

  • Brand Managers assist in promoting the Department of Fitness and Recreation by creating digital marketing materials for campus displays, social media, and in-facility screens. This role supports the department’s brand identity while helping market programs, services, and facilities through creative content and strategic communication. They work between 6 and 15 hours per week with some weekend shifts.

  • Facilities Assistants serve as the face of Belmont's Department of Fitness and Recreation, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk and in the weight room. These positions require 6–15 hours per week with weekend shifts and focus on maintaining a welcoming environment while enforcing departmental policies and supporting facility operations.

  • Climbing Assistants support the daily operations of the rock wall by setting routes, assisting climbers, enforcing safety protocols, and providing excellent customer service. They also help facilitate special events and clinics, contributing to a welcoming and engaging climbing environment for the Belmont community. They work between 6-15 hours per week, with some weekend shifts for Route Setting.

  • Pickleball & Beach Volleyball Assistants support daily operations at Belmont’s outdoor courts by providing excellent customer service, monitoring facility use, and assisting with equipment and policy enforcement. They work 6–15 hours per week, including some weekend shifts, to help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming recreation environment.

  • Jumpstart Trainers are aspiring fitness professionals who provide personal training and wellness education to the Belmont community while completing an in-house certification. This entry-level role focuses on teaching proper exercise techniques, building client relationships, and supporting departmental wellness initiatives.

  • Student Coordinators assist with the supervision and management of the Fitness and Recreation department, including hiring, training, and evaluating student staff and supporting campus-wide health and wellness initiatives. Each Student Coordinator works within a specific programming area—such as facilities, intramural sports, group fitness, personal training, brand management, outdoor recreation, or esports—so responsibilities may vary based on departmental needs and focus. They work 10-15 hours per week including weekends.
