The 31st National Japan Bowl will be held at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in College Park, MD. Your registration fee is inclusive of any food served at the event, however it is not inclusive of hotel stays.
Lodging will be booked directly through the hotel with the fee per room being about $125 per night for a double or single room.
Lodging will be booked directly through the hotel with the fee per room being about $125 per night. Student observers should not make this reservation on their own without their Japanese teacher.
Double and single rooms are available and up to four students may stay in a double room at one time. To reduce the cost of lodging at the hotel teachers and students may elect to share a hotel room with teachers and students from other schools.
If you would like to share a room with a student from another school in the case where you are unable to stay with students from your own school in order to reduce the cost of lodging, please indicate that below. JASWDC will match students and make the room reservation on your behalf.
The cost for Adult and Student observers is $75.00 and is inclusive of meals and activities, but does not cover the charge for rooms at the hotel during the competition. As mentioned previously, you will receive separate instructions on how to arrange your stay at the hotel.
All Japan Bowl participants including chaperones and observers must be fully vaccinated and submit proof of vaccination or proof of exemption as part of their application. You will also be asked to present this proof of complete vaccination status at the time of checking into the competition.
If you have any questions about what types of exemptions can be granted by the National Japan Bowl, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
