DUNDAS STUDIO TOUR GUEST ARTIST INFORMATION AND EXPECTATIONS APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 15th
The Tour always runs the weekend before Thanksgiving Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm.
Thank you for your interest in participating in The Dundas Studio Tour. Please complete the attached form and return no later than February 15th. Late applications will be considered based on available guest artist slots. In your submission please include all of the following:
Guest Artist application fully completed and signed.
Five high quality digital images of your current work (JPEGs at 1500 pixels on the longest side). The images must feature complete works, not details, and be of professional quality for our brochure, website and media posts. Applicants may be rejected on the basis of poor quality images. Please include title, size and price of the work in the application. Two additional images of your previous show display/set up with the rough dimensions and a headshot/you with your work for social media promotion. If you are adapting your display, please provide an image of your display as you intend to set it up. We do our best to accomodate 10' X 10' but have to work with available studio spaces.
A CV or resume of your artistic career.
We are unable to guarantee a specific booth size, location (indoor/outdoor) and/or configuration. Kindly ensure that your booth is professional looking, well designed and appropriate for the Dundas Studio Tour. Your booth size will be emailed to you by mid-September.
As a part of the Dundas Studio Tour Application the Artist agrees to:
a. Social Media SharingPost a minimum of 3 promotional posts about the Event on the Artist’s official social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, etc.). Include the official event name, date, location, and event tags/hashtags provided by the Organizer in each post.
Share at least one post prior to the event and one during the Tour, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
b. Content Guidelines: Posts must be positive, accurate, and respectful representations of the Event and Organizer.
The Organizer reserves the right to request edits or removal of posts that misrepresent the Event or include offensive or inappropriate material.
c. Tagging and Hashtags. Use official Organizer handles and hashtags as provided.
A cheque for $350, for an indoor location, or $320 for an outdoor location, made out to The Dundas Studio Tour, post dated March 15th. Mail to Heidi Schnabel at 70 Little John Rd. Dundas, ON, L9H 4G7. You can also EMT to thedundasstudiotour@gmail. com. If you are not selected to participate this will be refunded. No refund can be provided for any cancellation, as work begins immediately on the brochure.
NOTE indoor spaces are limited and we cannot guarantee indoor locations for all artists.
ACCEPTANCE AND EXPECTATIONS
Successful applicants will be notified if they are selected for the tour before March 3rd. Successful applicants will work closely with their hosts to present a professional display for the public.
All successful applicants are expected to promote the Tour in any way they can, and by distributing our brochures wherever they show their work. Brochures are available late spring in time for the spring/summer shows.
No shows, not following set up instructions/space allocation or early break down is not tolerated and will exempt you from future application.
Fees paid to the Dundas Studio Tour are for participation only. All participants are responsible for their own personal property, insurance (required) and merchandise. The Dundas Studio Tour will not be liable for any loss or damage to such personal property or merchandise. All participants are responsible for collecting appropriate taxes, if applicable. All work presented at the show must be designed by the exhibitor and made by hand.
Acceptance into the current Tour year does not guarantee acceptance into future tours. If you are not successful in being accepted into the current Tour year this does not preclude you from being accepted into future tours.
