Comet Basketball Camp F.A.Q.
Q: When and where will the camp be held?
A: Basketball Camp will be held at BFA St. Albans Gym. It will begin on Monday, July 22, 2024 and end on Friday, July 26, 2024. Campers will enter and leave through the gym doors in the rear parking lot (normal gym entrance). We will check campers in on Monday.
Q: When should I bring my child to camp?
A: If your child is attending session 1, this group will be allowed into the gymnasium at 3:45pm; session 2 at 5:15pm, session 3 at 7:15pm. We ask that everyone do their best to pick campers up as soon as possible at the end of camp so that coaches and camp counselors have time to clean up and prepare for the next set of campers coming in.
Q: What should my child bring to camp?
A: All campers should bring a basketball (size 28.5) if possible, water bottle, basketball shoes, inhalers or any other medical necessity if needed. Please write your name on your basketball so that it does not get lost. We recommend that campers bring a backpack/basketball bag to store any personal or loose items that they may need (i.e. cell phones, shoes, etc). This helps to prevent things from being misplaced. BFA St. Albans High School nor the Comet program will be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Q: Will my child receive a shirt?
A: Each camper will receive a Comet shirt on the first day of camp if you registered on time. (Walk-ins and late registration may not receive a shirt).
Q: What if my child can only attend part of the camp?
A: We encourage campers to attend all five days but we know conflicts arise. If your child is not able to make all five days please email us in advance and we will prorate it the best we can.
