ASA Now is proud to present an empowering and informative presentation: Trauma Tools Workshop - This workshop is part of our caregiver series intended to build up families and equip caregivers to interact authentically and effectively with at-risk children and practice self-care in a safe and loving space.
Description:
Come learn powerful tools and techniques to help you recognize, better understand and meet the needs of the children and teens in your care who have experienced physical, mental and emotional trauma. With a safe online space to bring your questions and share your challenges, this will be a collaborative group.
Kinship, Foster and adoptive caregivers are critical to helping children heal from trauma and thrive. These training tools will provide practical implementation tips, tools and skills to more easily identify triggers and learn how to avoid them.
Caregivers will learn skills such as de-escalating difficult behavior, helping a child regroup after a meltdown and recognizing when a child is being reminded of a traumatic experience.
