Students may be granted up to $500 per individual initiative and up to $1500 per group initiative.
Individual initiatives benefit one student (e.g., you are applying for individual funding to attend a student conference in another city, etc.).
Group initiatives benefit a group of students (e.g., you are starting a biking club, throwing a movie night for your class, or creating care pakages for students, etc.).
Funds will be distributed via reimbursement. To receive funds, the group must submit itemized receipts and a cheque requisition form to the OCSU. Applications must be received and approved by the Union in advance of Student Initiative event dates and in advance of expenses being incurred. Funds cannot be used for the purchase of alcohol. Applicants must submit their application no less than five (5) day prior to a scheduled Okanagan College Students’ Union board meeting.
