⚡ ELECTRICITY & GAS INFORMATION
Electricity will only be allocated to food and drink vendors who have requested it in their application and where space and electrical capacity allows.
All electricity usage is subject to approval based on equipment type and overall load requirements of the event.
⚡ ELECTRICITY SURCHARGES
Electricity fees are charged according to the level of power usage required by vendor equipment:
Coffee Vendors – High Electricity Usage: R850 per stand
(e.g. espresso machines, grinders, milk fridges)
Food & Beverage Vendors – High Electricity Usage: R550 per stand
(e.g. fryers, grills, induction cookers, waffle makers)
Food & Beverage Vendors – Medium Electricity Usage: R400 per stand
(e.g. bubble tea machines, blenders, warmers, small fridges, kettle)
Food & Beverage Vendors – Low Electricity Usage: R250 per stand
(e.g. snack vendors, packaged goods, light equipment only)
Electricity is limited and may be restricted based on venue capacity.
🔌 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
Approved vendors must provide their own:
2.5mm, 20-30m (or longer) extension cable
Clearly labelled plug with business name
Vendors may only connect to allocated power points approved by the organisers.
Any unauthorised use of electricity or failure to comply with electrical requirements may result in a R500 penalty fee.
🔥 GAS EQUIPMENT
A maximum of 2 gas-powered vendors (9kg LPG bottles) will be approved due to venue restrictions.
Preference will be given to vendors who are able to operate using electricity instead of gas.
Gas vendors must declare all equipment in advance and will only be approved where space and safety requirements allow. (if electricity is needed please select below, you will be charged accordingly)
Electricity Note
Electricity fees are charged as a fixed pre-event surcharge based on usage category. This is an estimated contribution towards venue electricity costs.
Should actual venue electricity charges exceed estimates, the organiser will cover the difference for this event only as we establish usage patterns at this new venue.
