-- If a student misses more than 3 days of Madrasah (excused/unexcused), an email notification will be sent to the parents
-- If the student misses more than 6 days (excused/unexcused) then the student may be subject to dismissal from Madrasah
-- $10 deducted for any missed days. with the exception of 3 grace days allowed
----------------
Late Arrivals / Early Dismissals: To avoid disruption in classes, we humbly request parents to keep their child until the start of the period/lesson. Children should not be removed from the class until the end of the period (except in the case of emergency). The outside doors will be locked 15 minutes after the start of Madrasah, so please use the doorbell at the North-east doorway in order to access the Madrasah when coming in late. Parents should accompany children to the office when signing in late or signing out early.
Dress Code
We have implemented a very lenient dress code at Madrasah to make it easy for everyone to follow, while at the same time ensuring that everyone is dressed respectfully and in full hijab. We need everyone to help us ensure that this is followed. The dress code is:
-- Boys: Pants and long-sleeve shirt. Pants can be jeans! (but, no rips and no hip-hugger/low-riders) Please no track pants. Shirts/pants should also not have large or distracting pictures or logos.
-- Girls: Long Abaya with any colour head scarf.
To support the children, and to foster a strong Islamic learning environment, we request the parents also observe Islamically appropriate clothing when at the Madrasah.
Behavior
As a parent of Madrasah Az-Zahraa student you are required to work with your child to demonstrate appropriate behavior. If a child demonstrates inappropriate or dangerous behavior, then he/she may be subject to dismissal from the Madrasah.
Learning
Learning must always extend beyond Madrasah hours, and so it is critical for parents to take an active role in their student's Islamic education.
