Form I-9 Compliance LLC (Fi9) is your E-Verify Web Services Employer Agent for utilizing the E-Verify Program. As such, Fi9 is responsible for providing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that must be executed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Employer, and Fi9.

Once Fi9 receives this Registration Form, it will be submitted to DHS for E-Verify participation and they will generate a MOU for your organization. The MOU will need to be signed before DHS can activate E-Verify participation for your organization.

  • Your Organization Designation:

E-Verify has unique requirements for certain organizational types and its important to determine if your organization is a Federal Contractor, with or without the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) E-Verify clause; or a federal, state, or local government-organization.

If you select one of those categories, additional information will be necessary below. If none of these apply to your organization, you may select "None of these apply".

    • Category Help

LOCAL GOVERNMENT: Select if your organization is part of a U.S. local govt such as counties, local municipalities, cities, towns, and villages. If your organization is part of a U.S. local govt required to use E-Verify because it has a federal contract with FAR E-Verify clause, select ‘Federal Contractor with FAR E-Verify Clause’.

What Employees Will Your Company Verify?

The federal contractor rule has minimum requirements regarding which employees your organization must verify. The rule also permits your organization to verify additional employees beyond the minimum requirements. As an institution of higher education, a state or local government, a federally recognized Indian tribe or a surety, your organization has three options.

Only employees assigned to a covered Federal Contract: Select this option if your organization intends to verify all of its newly hired and existing employees assigned to a covered contract only.

New-hires & existing employees assigned to federal contract: Select this option if your organization intends to verify all of its newly hired employees throughout the organization and all existing employees assigned to a covered contract.

Entire workforce (all new hires and existing employees throughout company): Select this option if your organization intends to verify its entire workforce, which includes all newly hired and existing employees throughout the organization except for exempt employees. By selecting this option, you are providing notification to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that you have elected to verify your entire workforce. Selecting this option is permanent—you are not permitted to change your decision once your organization begins verifying its existing workforce outside a covered contract.
