Hot 'Paw'gust Nights Car Registration Form

If you are interested in displaying your car to help support the shelter, please fill out this registration form by August 1st.

We encourage participants to bring chairs and canopies for themselves on the day of the event. Space is limited and all spaces are pre-assigned, so be sure to get your registration form in early to ensure a spot.

Feel free to forward this on to other classic car owners who may be interested in participating. If you've attended before, feel free to also send us ideas to make the car show even better!

In consideration of the acceptance of the participants to car show by execution of this entry form, I /We hereby release all Hayward Animal Shelter and Hayward city employees, their members, officers, volunteers and anyone else connected with this event of and from any and all known and unknown damages, injuries, losses, judgments and/or claims from any causes whatsoever that may be suffered by anyone participating in this event or by any spectators.

Hot Pawgust Nights - Car Show Fundraiser - Saturday 8/15/2026

Suggested Donation of $25 per entry/car, which will go toward providing medical care, toys, food or other supplies for the shelter animals.

Donations can be accepted the day of the event or at time of registration. This can be done in-person or online at https://www.hayward-ca.gov/animal-shelter-donations. If you donate online, be sure to send a screenshot to shelter.Volunteers@hayward-ca.gov.

All show spaces will be pre-assigned.

Show Cars must arrive no earlier than 10:00 a.m. and no later than 10:30 a.m.

Car show runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. but show cars are welcome to stay for the entire adoption event which runs until 5:00pm.

Our shelter lot can accommodate a limited number of cars, so please return registration forms as soon as possible to ensure a space. Accepted registration forms will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Hot Pawgust Nights RETURNS!!

This year's event is going to be fun and full of activity! We will have live music, face painting, games, and contests!

Vote for Best Paint Job, Best Interior, Best Display, and People's Choice - winners get an extra raffle ticket and bragging rights.

All proceeds raised from this event (including the registration fees) go to the Hayward Animal Shelter's Animal Medical and Spay/Neuter funds to support the shelter animals.

It's a great cause and a fun event!

Last event $1,938.50 was raised through donations from showcasing cars and raffle tickets to help the shelter animals.
