About the BEAM Academy

BEAM has been set up as an academy in order to train students in e-commerce and provide high quality business education. The BEAM programme will operate from October 2022 - June 2023 for those aged between 18-24

The BEAM Academy emphasises the following 4 values, and expects applicants to adopt these whilst on the programme:
Opportunity - BEAM will provide opportunities in e-commerce as well as tailor-made work experience. Students will seek out their own opportunities in product investment and business.
Networking - Students will be encouraged to build a professional network. BEAM will facilitate this process by bringing in professionals to meet with students and by developing student Linkedin profiles.
Education - BEAM will ensure that learning is high quality and directly applicable to the business world. Together with 1-1 mentorship, students will upskill and receive guidance for their next steps. Full participation and engagement is expected.
Growth - Our working environment is committed to both organistional and personal growth. Students will be ambitious and use the resources available to them to develop a growth mindset.

BEAM Academy is split between mornings and afternoons -
Mornings will be spent in the Chazak center and will mainly involve completing online courses, building a business network and other areas of personal development.
Afternoons will focus on selling products on ebay and amazon at the BBM warehouse. This will include full training on how to use the different functions of the platforms.
Students will be expected to attend between the following times:
Monday-Thursday: 9:30-16:30
Winter/Summer Friday's: 9:30-12:45/14:30
There will be a 60 minute lunch break between 12:15-13:15. There is no lunch break on Winter Friday's.
If participants need time off, this must be discussed with the BEAM programme manager in advance. BEAM will be closed during Bank holidays, Yom Tov and Chol Hamoed as well as the last week of December.
Students can expect to receive a salary of up to £500 a month between October-April subject to adhering to their obligations. From April 2023 onwards students will be in work placements and will not received a wage from the BEAM Academy
