Congratulations on your selection to attend the 2023 National Scout Jamboree! What follows below are the basic Jamboree information and payment schedule for the Greater Alabama Council Contingent. The GAC is currently committed to taking three troops- two troops for boys and one troop for girls. If interest and demands dictate, we are able to add additional Troops to our overall Contingent allocation.
Dates: July 18-29, 2023 (Including travel days)
Where: Summit Bechtel Reserve, Glen Jean, West Virginia
Participant Fees: $2,000 (Early Bird [closed on 10/31/22]), $2,215 (Regular [All registrations after 11/1/22])
Fees include: Registration fees, transportation, tent, troop and patrol equipment, troop uniform basics (Travel shirt, activity shirt, hat)
Early Bird Payment Schedule*: Early Bird Registration closed on October 31, 2022. Five payments, $400 per installment, final installment due no later than May 15, 2023.

April 15, 2023: $400
May 15, 2023: $400 (100% paid in full)
Regular Registration Payment Schedule: All registrations taking place on or after November 1, 2022. Four payments, First payment of $565 followed by 3 installments of $550 with final payment due no later than May 15, 2023.
December 15, 2022: $565
February 15, 2023: $550
April 15, 2023: $550
May 15, 2023: $550 (100% paid in full)

Troop Assignments: Scouts will be allocated to to troops located as close to their home as possible. In some instances, Scouts might be assigned to Troops not in their vicinity.
