  • Roadmap Learning Group Registration & Participant Agreement

Welcome! Thank you for joining the Learning Group for the Roadmap to Textile Recycling in Western Canada. Please fill in this form to confirm your participation and choose how to pay.
  • Background

The Textile Lab for Circularity (TLC) is a social innovation lab that aims to eliminate textile and apparel waste to landfill by 2031 by fostering innovation in the circular textiles economy. This Learning Group will follow along with and feed into our 2022-23 research study "Roadmap to Textile Recycling in Western Canada". The Learning Group is convened over four, two-hour virtual meetings, and participants will complete two ~15-minute surveys during the research project outside of these meetings. The exact dates of these sessions will be chosen with the first 10 participants, and will fall in (1) September/October, (2) November/December, (3) March/April, and (4) May/June.

  • Collective Representation

The Participant agrees to represent their particular role and company interests during the Learning Group activities, while taking into account that they also represent their larger role in the overall textiles economy.
  • Prepared to Participate Fully

For the best outcomes, the Learning Group sessions require full participation of all attendees. As a virtual Zoom event, full participation involves having (1) stable internet (2) access to microphone and ideally video capabilities and (3) ability to unmute microphone to contribute to conversations as needed.
  • Backup Attendance Plan

Each Learning Group session builds on the previous and leads into the next. To fully engage, it's vital that someone from the organization attends all sessions, and ideally this is the same person. In case your primary contact can't attend one of the sessions, please commit here to (1) identifying a proxy, who can be your secondary contact, or another person in the organization, and (2) briefing them on work done to date, to the extent feasible. That proxy is asked to also share back progress made in the session to the primary attendee so that they are up to speed moving forward. Ideally the main attendee and proxy have some decision making power or insight into decision-making processes within the organization to inform proposed actions.
  • Sharing Outcomes

The TLC stewards our research to ensure that the vast majority of knowledge we collaboratively produce is made available open-source with shareable attribution. This helps our outcomes reach the widest possible audience! By participating, you agree to act on this IP which means, at a minimum, please confirm that you will share back relevant outcomes from the Learning Group and final Report with your team and greater organization.
