The One Hundred Club
CONSTITUTION
Membership
1. Any member of the golf club may become a member of
The Hundred subject to: -
a) Payment of annual subscription by the Member Bar Card account.
b) Continued membership of the Golf Club.
c) No refund of the subscription will be due when members resign from The Hundred or the Golf Club. Such members shall continue to be eligible for entry into the monthly draws until the end of their annual subscription.
2. Only members of The Hundred can participate in cash draws. Eligibility for inclusion in the April, May and June draws will require 3 months duration.
3. There is no limit to the number of subscriptions that a member can make.
Prize Draws
1. The monthly prize draw shall take place on the last Sunday of each month. In the event of the draw not taking place as scheduled due to circumstances outside the control of the committee, the draw shall take place at the nearest possible date.
2. Winners shall be paid by a credit to their Member Bar Card account generally within 7 days of the draw.
3. The dates of the draws and notification of winners shall be posted on the Club webpage.
Terms of Reference
To provide funds for the Club’s centenary in 2024 and funds for a monthly total cash draw for every month. These will be 50% of the previous months earned receipts (20% first prize, 12.5% second prize, 10% third prize and 7.5% for fourth prize). All draws will be undertaken by 2 members of the elected committee in front of an independent witness, the latter being chosen on the day. 2 of the elected committee, who shall be known as administrators, shall be authorised to access the V1 Platform set up for the 100 Club.
Management
1. The Hundred shall be run by a committee of 5 of its members. Each subscribing member shall be entitled to stand for election as a committee member at the annual general meeting.
2. Committee members shall be elected for a period of 3 years. All retiring committee members shall be eligible for re-election. In the event of resignation/ retirement/death, the committee shall co-opt such other members of the Hundred, as necessary.
3. The members of the committee shall appoint one of their number to act as Chairman, one to act as Secretary and one to act as Treasurer.
4. A member of the main Board may, ex- officio be an additional member of the committee, having been nominated by the Board. This person will provide the link between the Hundred committee and Board for the purpose of ensuring that expenditure has Board approval. This person shall also on at least 3 times in the year check the V1 Platform, set up for the 100 Club, to ensure there is no security breach.
5. Three committee members shall constitute a quorum.
6. The committee shall meet at least twice a year with minutes being available, if requested by the Board.
7. The committee shall publish annual accounts.
8. An annual general meeting of the Hundred shall be held at which all members of the Hundred will be entitled to attend and vote.
9. The decisions of the committee shall be by a simple majority, with the Chairman having the casting vote.
10. Alterations to the constitution of the Hundred may only take place with a majority vote at the AGM (proxy votes will count).
