  • Parade Pacing & Gap Control

    Let's keep the parade moving!
  • Parades are always more enjoyable for spectators when the gaps between parade units are held to a minimum. Please follow these guidelines while the parade is moving:

    1. A spacing of 30-50 feet between parade units /floats will be enforced. Please maintain awareness of units in front and behind you. Keep a safe distance apart, but do not allow more than 50 feet of space.
    2. Parade units that cannot maintain the proper pacing may be asked to leave the parade route, and will be placed at the end of the parade in future years.
    3. Do not stop and perform along the parade route . All special movements and demonstrations MUST be performed while moving forward.
    4. Make sure all members of you entry, including walkers, can keep the pace for the full 1.1 mile parade route. Please consider transportation if they cannot.
    5. All units are required to close the gap when requested by Parade Officials.
  • Parade Agreement
