    Overview

People are constantly faced with choices.  Some are small, while others are big. Some are easy, while others are hard. Regardless of size or difficulty, the truth of who we are is always reflected in the decisions we make and the directions we take.

Sometimes this "truth" is not in alignment with who we really are and who we strive to be. The "magnetic pulls" of our culture, our family, our friends, our community, our education, our church, our finances, and more, impact the direction we think we must go and the options we perceive before us.

And these are only the forces outside of ourselves.

The "magnetic pull" of internal forces often has a far greater impact than our external environment and situation. Fear. Ego. The "shoulds." Hubris. Our "comfort zone." The influence of these forces can throw off our compass with greater ease than any circumstance, peer pressure, or norm.

It takes personal awareness to know what your true azimuth is. It takes courage to follow your true azimuth. It takes dedication to stay the course once you have started.

So many people live their entire lives without the slightest awareness of their true azimuth. Many who know what their true azimuth is, never summon the fortitude to take action. And often those who do manage to take action struggle to tenaciously follow their course.

They end up living a life marked with regret, disappointment and doubt because they are not living in alignment with who they truly are and in alignment with what they truly can become.

    Your Story

Your brief story about a time when you struggled to follow your own true azimuth can inspire these people. The results you have reaped by honoring your true self, bravely taking action, and holding steadfast in your pursuit of living fully in alignment with who you are can serve as an example for others who might struggle with these ideals.

Share a time when you struggled but followed your true azimuth. It doesn't have to be the whole story. After all, you have to tell it in under 4 minutes.

You could talk about how an increase in self-awareness transformed your perspective on life and how you handle even small situations differently as a result of that shift. You could talk about a time you struggled but somehow tapped into the courage to do what you knew was right ignoring what that voice in your head was telling you to do. You could talk about how you remained unwavering in your pursuit of what you knew was right for you regardless of what others were saying.

Your story will inspire others. Your story will attract people to you. Your story will spark an increase in your own motivation and tenacity as you continue to follow your true azimuth.

Take action now. Fill in this form, hit record, and then hit submit. I look forward to having you on the show!

  • Please don't overthink this, but equally, the better and more clear your answer the more value the audience will get and the more likely it is to resonate with them. So it is worth taking a few minutes to jot down on some paper the key points you want to get across.

1 - Go into a quiet room and turn off all notifications

2 - The question you are answering is:

"What was a time you struggled to follow your true azimuth, how did you persevere and what are the key learnings you got from it?"

3 - Hit the first 'Record' button below.  You need to start your answer with the first part of the question i.e. 'A time I struggled to follow my true azimuth was...'

Editor: Please do actually answer the question and don't jump straight into an advertisement for your business; it robs the listener and reflects badly on you.  Being authentic definitely resonates better with our listeners than trying to pitch your service.

4 - Talk for no less than 2 minutes and no more than 4 minutes.

5 - Don't listen back to it - everyone hates listening to themselves ;)

Editor: Actually - of course, you can listen back to it.  In fact, if you make a mistake, or it doesn't sound loud enough (too much background noise, etc.) you can always just hit record again and redo.

6 - Record your opening. (Hit the second 'Record' button).

I  will say, "Hi ________, welcome to the show."

You want to record something like, "Hi Scott" or "I hope the listeners are inspired by my message" or "Hi Scott, hi everyone." or "I am psyched to be here" etc...   You have 15 seconds.

7 - Record your closing. (Hit the third 'Record' button).

I will say, "Thank you ________ for being on my podcast."

So you want to record something like, "You're welcome Scott" or "Don't mention it" or "It was great" or "My privilege" etc... Then you can say anything else you want for example, "If people want to connect with me, Facebook is the best, go to...."  You have 35 seconds.

8 - Hit Submit.  That's it! Our audio editors are excitedly waiting for your file and will then work their magic to turn it into a professional-sounding podcast that we will share your wisdom with the world.

9 - We will email you the link and blast it out over social media soon after it is done.  As soon as you hit submit below you will get a confirmation email (check your promotions tab, spam folder, down the back of the sofa, wherever until you find it.  Email is the only way we can let you know when you're live so do please look out for and read emails from 'Scott' and 'True Azimuth Coaching' (at least until your podcast is live, then you can drop it like it's hot!)

IMPORTANT NOTE (and promise): The podcast editor will have the final decision on whether to publish the podcast, it might get rejected because of poor audio, too much background noise, the answer is mumbled, your voice accent being too strong, etc., etc. Please don't take this personally. However, my promise to you is that even if we don't publish it, I will send you the final copy for your own personal use.

Life is short. Take action now whilst it is fresh in your mind and get this recorded and uploaded. It's showtime!!!

Note - It may take a couple of minutes for your recordings to save before you can hit submit.  Please be patient.

  • Remember to wait until all your recordings say "Recording saved" with a green checkmark before you click the submit button!
