This award celebrates coaches who are committed, inspire gymnasts, and make a positive impact on others at their club.
Your nominated coach must:
- be aged over 25 at 31 August 2026
- hold a current, recognised coaching qualification
- be a current member of Scottish Gymnastics
All nominations must be based on activity between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026.
We want to hear what makes your nominee stand out from the crowd with relevant examples. Tell us about their qualities as a coach and their commitment to their own development. For example:
- is committed to providing the highest standard of coaching to individuals and/or teams
- creates and promotes a positive culture and environment centred around wellbeing and protection, and providing an enjoyable, safe and rewarding experience
- makes a significant impact on gymnasts by allowing them to thrive and improve their ability to perform/compete as individuals and/or a team
- demonstrates innovative practice and good communication, adopting a person-centred approach to coaching, taking time to understand participant’s needs and goals
- demonstrates the gymnastics values of inclusive, supportive and aspirational
- has a positive and encouraging attitude that inspires and impacts positively on everyone around them
- assists in the development of other coaches
- develops their own coaching through courses, workshops or mentoring - include any challenges they have overcome in their development
