MONDAY 1:30pm-3pm - Homeschoolers! - Hand Sewing & Machine Sewing Class - 9 DATES: September 23rd through December 9th, 2024Dates: Full Semester September 23rd through December 9th, 2024. (NO CLASS ON 10/14, 11/11 & 11/25) Prerequisite: NON. Each class is 90 minutes long. During this sewing class students will be working on their hand sewing skills and machine sewing. We will introduce some embroidery, using different techniques for up-cycling and re-fashioning their clothes. They can choose to work on one of the projects that we have available at the studio or bring their design ideas and we can work together on them during the semester. We work with pre-loved clothes and discarded textiles.All materials are included for this class. Students are welcome to bring their own pre-loved clothes, in either self size or in adults sizes.

TUESDAYS 4:30pm-6pm - Beginner in machine sewing. (Ages 6-9 years old) - 90 minutes class - FULL SEMESTER (October 8th through December 10th, 2024)- Prorated(Prerequisite: NON Each class is 90 minutes long. This class is designed for the youngest "sewists" 6 y.o and up who are very interested in learning who to operate the sewing machine and make fun projects from accessories to finish garment! We work with pre-loved clothes and discarded textiles. All materials are included for this class.

TUESDAYS 4:30pm-6pm - TEENS! Denim Deconstruct to Up-cycle sewing class. (Ages 12 1/2-16 years old) - 90 minutes class - FULL SEMESTER (October 29th through December 10th, 2024)Pre-requisite: NON. Each class is 90 minutes long. During this sewing and fashion class students will be introduce to the Art of Denim deconstruction to then be able to create a full up-cycled denim collection by learning how to maximize the use of these textiles.During this 10 weeks intensive program, students will have up-cycled between 1-5 items, depending on skill level and difficulty of the project. (can include garment, hats, jewerly, shoes). We work with pre-loved denim clothes and discarded textiles.

This is the perfect place to start! We will spend lots of time practicing threading and tying knots, which is the trickiest part of hand sewing. We’ll also learn the difference between the whip, blanket, and running stitches, and how to sew a button. Take home with a skill book demonstrating everything you’ve learned!Use these skills to make all sorts of fun projects! We will create clothes for your doll or teddy bear, will hand sew animal friends, blankets, Kawaii food, etc. All materials are included for this class.

WEDNESDAY 4:00-5:30pm - INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING & All levels in machine sewing- Beginner and Experience Beginner. (Ages 8-14 years old) - 90 minutes class - FULL SEMESTER (September 4th through December 11th, 2024)Prerequisite: Non Each class is 90 minutes long. If you've never used a sewing machine, or you have some knowledge in machine sewing, then this is the class for you! This is a pre-requisite for all other classes on the sewing machine. These skills lay a strong foundation for you to build on with future sewing projects. In this class, you will complete 1 to 4 projects. Even though this class is promoted for beginners, it welcomes all levels and skills. All materials are included for this class. Students are welcome to donate pre-loved clothes in adults sizes.
