Day 1: ARRIVE IN ACCRA (AKWAABA) 12/27/2022
This trip will offer the chance for one of the most unforgettable holidays of a lifetime. Upon arrival in Accra, you will be welcomed, ushered through immigration and customs and transported in a private A/C vehicle to our humble home in Sakumono. Check into our home, relax and prepare for a memorable night of delicious meal and soothing music.

Day 2: CRAFT & HISTORY - 12/28/2022
We will have workshop of African Culture, Tradition and Heritage
Batik Making Class- You will learn how to dye, print and make your own batik tie and dye. The day will be filled with Music, Art, Craft, Food & Wine Tasting.

Day 3: ACCRA(AFROCHELLA FESTIVAL- OPENING NIGHT) 12/29/2022
Welcome to the city of Accra; a blend of modern buildings and structures which existed during the colonial times. The 120 year old city offers you unique display of historical landmarks including New Town, Ga Mashie and Jamestown communities. We have the following visits lined up for the day: · Visit the W.E.B DuBois former home, now a museum and Centre for the study of Africanism · Drive through Flagstaff House, official residence and administrative offices of the president (Ghana’s Whitehouse). We will return to our home to freshen up before we attend Afrochella festival designed to elevate and highlight the thrilling and thriving millennial talent from and in Africa. The day will feature a festive celebration of our culture in the form of Arts and Fashion Installations, Live painting, the best of African Culture and Live performances. Return to your residence with beautiful memories of a truly authentic African experience.

Day 4: ACCRA 12/30/2022
Following a fun-packed night, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast with the house chef. Mid morning, we step out to complete our tour of Accra: Drive through the Independence Square where Ghana hosts most of her national ceremonies on our way to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, final resting place of Ghana’s first president driving pass the Independence Square where you will see the enclosed flame of African liberation, which was lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961. The Memorial Park is set in attractive gardens and has a museum which contains photos, artifacts and an insight into Dr. Nkrumah’s life. · Just adjoining the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum is the famous global market place- the Accra Arts and Crafts Centre. How about trying out you bargaining skills at the largest open market in Accra whiles you shop for some stunning authentic African wear, arts and crafts as souvenirs for family and friends back home?. · We end the day’s tour at the Jamestown community- one of Accra’s most historic neighborhoods, where history resides on every corner. Best known for its lighthouses and the Usher Fort). At Jamestown, enjoy a historic walking tour as you explore the daily lives of the local people. Enjoy the interesting sights and sounds on this Jamestown walking tour and experience a taste of carefully selected street food. You will have the opportunity to sample and taste a few freshly made local meals such as the popular Ga Kenkey made from corn dough, fish, red pepper or green sauce, Banku, rice, eggs, Waakye (made from rice and beans). Enjoy a local buffet with chilled drinks with some locals.

Day 5: ACCRA(NYE PARTY) 12/31/2022
Today is a free day to do your own personal exploration. Sunbath at the beach or visit the spa (on your own account). Tonight, ring in the New Year in Style at Afrochella’s New Year’s Eve Party. Get ready with your dancing shoes to dance your heart out at Afrochella’s New Year’s Party as you make new you.

Day 6: ACCRA – WINNEBA- CAPE COAST - 01//01/2023
Followingyour private chef breakfast, we depart to Cape Coast in Ghana’s Central Region. This region has had the most significant effect on the lives of Africans in the diaspora. We will make a stop at Winneba, a historic fishing port also known traditionally as Simpa in south Ghana. Here, you will witness the spectacular display of cultural masquerades in grand style amidst street dancing performances with unique costumes. Do well to have that camera fully charged for some great shots! We continue to Elmina and enjoy lunch (on your account) at the Coconut Grove Beach Resort. We will embark on a guided walking tour of Elmina, which was the first point of European contact in Sub-Saharan Africa. It was once the most cosmopolitan city in tropical Africa. Enjoy a walk through the ancient town of Elmina. At the harbor see the colorful fishing canoes getting ready to go to sea for another night’s task of fishing. This is a picture-perfect opportunity for photographers.

Day 7: ELMINA & CAPE COAST CASTLES – 01/02/2023
After breakfast, we will travel the short distance to Elmina Castle, originally called Fort Sao Jorge de Elmina – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, completed in 1486 and was the first European made structures built in sub-Saharan Africa. After this visit, we continue to Cape Coast to see the Cape Coast dungeon, where you will experience the emotional journey of going in the opposite direction of our ancestors, through the famous “door of no return”. Lunch (on your own account) at the One Africa Restaurant. This evening, you will experience the traditional Fihankra Ceremony– “Restore to Diasporas the Cultural and Spiritual connections that were denied them for centuries”. The Fihankra Ceremony will include a traditional Naming Ceremony where you will receive your certificate of authentication. Tonight, ring in the New Year in Style at your hotel.

Day 8: CAPE COAST – KAKUM – ACCRA 01/03/2023
After breakfast and check out, you will visit Kakum National Park, which has one of Africa’s famous rainforest canopy walkways. This canopy walkway will be one of the highlights of your time in Ghana. Prepare to take a deep breath as you walk the suspended bridge and marvel at the breathtaking views that stretch for miles across the rainforest. Upon arrival in Accra, you will be transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight.

Day 9: RELAXATION & GOODBYE 01/04/2022
