Pickle Fest Contest waiver

RULES

• Consult with your doctor to make sure you can participate.

• Must be 18 years old to enter adult division

•Must be 12- 17 in kids division

• Each competitor will be given the same amount of pickles or Pickle Juice and the person who finishes that amount first with an empty mouth will be the winner.

• Contestant can bring Any non-alcoholic beverages to drink during the competition. Drinks must be purchased at the event.

• Messy eating can draw a warning. 2 warnings will result in ejection.

• Any contestant who vomits during the competition is disqualified.

• Visible signs of sickness will result in disqualification.

• Kids 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or they will not be permitted to participate.

•Kids 12 to 17 must be have signed permission from parent on this form.

• The competitor with the most bowls of rice eaten

•Contests will take place behind the building by the large stage

•PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE STAGE 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR CONTEST TIME TO CHECK IN.

I understand that participating in a pickle eating contest involves inherent risks, including but not limited to choking, allergic reactions, gastrointestinal distress, and other potential health risks. I certify that I am in good health and have no medical conditions that would impair my ability to participate in the contest.

I understand and agree that photographs, video recordings, and other media may be captured during the event. I grant Dallas Pickle Festival and its affiliates the full, unrestricted rights to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute these materials in any media format, including social media, promotional content, and advertising, without compensation or further permission.

In consideration for being allowed to participate, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless the event host, Dallas Pickle Festival, and all affiliates, sponsors, volunteers, and staff from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from or related to my participation in the event.I waive my right to bring any legal action against the event host for any injury, illness, or loss sustained during or as a result of the contest.

I agree to follow all contest rules as explained by the organizers and understand that failure to do so may result in disqualification or removal from the event. I agree to conduct myself respectfully and responsibly at all times.
