I hope this finds everyone enjoying the last days of summer break basking in the sunshine, going on vacations, attending sporting events, working on 4-H projects for the county fairs and more!
As we head into our third year of Family Faith Formation, I am excited to get started! The most exciting news is that Father Thomas has given us permission to meet every week! This will include parents and students meeting the first Sunday of the month for Saint Mary families and the first Wednesday of the month for Saint Michael families. Then, the next three weeks the children will attend classes. Each week the Pre K-6th grade classes will work on the weekly pamphlet from our packets. Families will then finish the rest of the lesson at home. We are not replacing you, the parents, as the first teachers of the faith to your family. Our hope is working together we will help one another learn to live our Catholic Faith Out Loud! In our homes, on the ballfields, at the store, in school, at the movies, in a restaurant...you get the picture, everywhere we go!
Revivals in the Air!! The National Eucharistic Revival has started in our diocese this year and will continue for the next three years. Our world is hurting. We all need healing, yet many of us are separated from the very source of our strength. Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith: his Real Presence in the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States. Watch the video linked below to learn more about the exciting journey ahead and how you can be a part of it! https://youtu.be/hDNZeBtCjjc
