Non-Georgetown Transfer Credit Evaluation

This form is only to be completed by a current student in the School of Nursing. Students in Georgetown College, School of Foreign Science, or McDonough School of Business can contact their dean's office for declaration process. 

Any student who wishes to apply transfer credit toward a major, minor, or certificate must use this form to obtain approval from the School of Nursing Office of Student Academic Affairs. Accuracy and completeness will expedite the review process, which can take up to seven (7) business days. 

Please contact the appropriate Academic Dean with any questions or concerns. 

Before submitting this form, please review the below academic policies regarding transfer course credit. Your submission of this form acknowledges that you understand these rules and your responsiblity in the process of evaluation. 

• At a minimum, half of the coursework for a major, minor, or certificate must be taken in residence at Georgetown. Departments may also place additional restrictions on transfer credit.
• All transfer courses must be taken for a letter grade and a grade of C or better must be earned.
• Grades will not be factored into the Georgetown GPA and will not appear on the Georgetown transcript.
• Students may transfer a maximum of 12 credits from other accredited institutions during the summers of their undergraduate career. (Students should check with their Academic Dean regarding study abroad credits.)
• Transfer students may not transfer more than 60 credits total to the Georgetown degree.
• Pre-approval does not obligate students to take the course or to request transfer credit.

• Upon completion of the course(s), please arrange for an official transcript to be emailed to your Academic Advisor or sent to:
