Individuals that adopt from the Prince George Humane Society are contacted periodically for an update to ensure that the animal successfully adjusts to its new life. If you adopt an animal from us, do you consent to correspondence before and/or after adoption?

If the animal is not spayed or neutered at the time of the adoption, the adopter is required to take the animal to its scheduled appointment date with the veterinary clinic used by the Humane Society. Failure to do so will result in an appointment cancellation fee of $100. If more that 2 appointments are missed the Prince George Humane Society reserves the right to annul the adoption and reclaim the pet. I understand that a adoption fee is charged and this fee includes the spay/ neuter, microchip (registration fee needs to be paid by the adoptee) or tattoo, parasite treatment and the 1st vaccine (FCVR) for cats/ kittens and (DHPP) for dogs/ puppies and any additional fees incurred for vaccinations during their stay in the shelter will be charged to you at the time of the adoption. Any additional vaccines or treatments not included in the adoption fee and the adopter is responsible for arranging and paying the fees at their preferred veterinary clinic

I understand that the adoption decision is dependent on many factors including but not limited to the compatibility of the family and home to the individual pet, and other applications received on this pet. I understand that it is The Prince George Humane Society’s prerogative to decide which home is appropriate, and therefore I will not argue with the decision. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant.
