The Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (WASLA) is issuing a Call for Proposals for our Annual Conference. We invite landscape architects, academics, allied professionals, and vendors of the profession to submit presentation proposals that fit this year’s conference theme: Emergence.
The 2022 conference aims to explore and celebrate the ways in which individuals and communities have emerged (and continue to emerge) from the world-changing events of the last two years. Sessions will examine new (and sometimes not-so-new) markets and opportunities for practice that have presented themselves thus far in the decade. Other sessions will cede space for voices that haven't historically been centered in our discipline, as well as spotlight those that have found their footing and established themselves as leaders in landscape architecture and aligned professionals in the 2020s. Finally, sessions will showcase rising technologies and approaches to practice that deepen our work as landscape architects.
Whatever the subject, we are looking for energized speakers in multiple presentation formats: panel with moderator, roundtables, presentations/lectures with Q&A, design charrettes, conversations, walking tours.
Please submit your presentation proposal through this form by August 5th, 2022.
