    JOB SUMMARY

    Gold’s Gym Newburgh and Middletown are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Member Service Advisor to join our membership sales team. This full-time role focuses on building relationships, generating and following up on leads, setting appointments, and presenting the benefits of Gold’s Gym to prospective members. It offers a first-year earning potential of $50,000–$55,000 with ongoing growth opportunities through monthly and annual increases.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Actively generate and follow up on leads through networking, referrals, community events, and marketing initiatives.
    • Conduct prospect tours, build rapport, and confidently present membership options tailored to each individual’s needs.
    • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly membership sales goals.
    • Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, appointments, and sales activities.
    • Provide a welcoming and enthusiastic first impression to all prospective members.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with members and guests to enhance retention and satisfaction.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Gold’s Gym programs, services, and promotions.
    • Communicate effectively in a teaching, coaching style, adapting to the needs and concerns of prospective members.
    • Work collaboratively with team members and management to support the overall success of the gym.
    • Follow established policies, procedures, and systems closely to ensure smooth operations.
    • Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve skills and product knowledge.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-driven.
    • Ability to communicate persuasively, enthusiastically, and professionally.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
    • Team-oriented approach with the ability to contribute to a supportive sales culture.
    • Passion for fitness, health, and wellness.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
    • Prior sales experience strongly preferred, especially in fitness, hospitality, or service industries.
    • CPR/AED certification (required upon hire).

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods.
    • Frequent reaching, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
    • Work in a gym environment with varying noise levels.
    • Schedule includes a combination of weekday morning and evening shifts, plus one weekend shift.
    • Full-time (40 hours per week) position; flexibility required.
