Welcome Troop: Sends out new member packagesEducation Troop: Assists with the education of owners and potential ownersRecapture/Rescue “K-9” Troop: In the event a primate escapes, either a member or nonmember, this troop will be in charge of helping to gather volunteers to help find and recapture any primate who has gotten loose. They will be in charge of posting within the group to keep member up-to-date on what is going on, and notifying members when a primate has been found and capturedLegislation Troop: Keeps up with pending legislation across the US. Will help let members know what is happening and what can be done to help stop bans and so forth. If a group is needed to appear in force to help educate members of the government or send emails, make phone calls, etc this troop will coordinate these endeavors to maintain our rights to own primatesVet Troop: Creates and maintains an active list of veterinarians by state who will see primates; complete with information about the clinic, whether emergency services are available, and any stipulations to the primates seenBereavement Troop: In charge of sending out cards of condolences to any members or nonmember within the community who lost their primateLinda & Lana New Beginnings Troop: Locates new homes for primates who are in need. Coordinates getting the primate to their new homeBreeder Troop: Members, especially breeders, working toward improving the breeding, especially from a genetics and health standpoint, of our primatesFundraising Troop: Brainstorms, coordinates and keeps up with all of the fundraising for the organization. Keeps members informed of current fundraisers, their progress and outcomesRecruiting Troop: Brainstorms and coordinates ways of increasing the organization’s membership
