An evening of music, dance, song, acrobatics, and storytelling through the African Arts
Saturday, July 30th 2022
FANYE: This word means "spring" in the Guinean language of Susu. A spring is the source of water that never ends; this reminds us to become one with ourselves, because we are one with the universe. We are remembering who we are: that we are water, that we can flow through anything in life, that we are the source. This show is about remembering and coming home to ourselves.
"As the journey take us to our community, to our family, to our experiences we have, to everything we have learned, it takes us home. Home is us, that's who we are, that's the spring." ~Gabriel Fara Tolno- choreographer and director
