The Youth Club session runs from 5.30 - 7.30 at The Lounge. The Youth will get to try different activities, socialise and play games with their friends.
• Please make sure all prior medical conditions are detailed above and the child has any medications required with them. If required, you give permission for medical treatment to be carried out if necessary.
When at The Lounge:
• Young people are responsible for making their own way to The Lounge, once they have signed out/left premises The Lounge staff can no longer take responsibility for them. Please inform us whether you will be collecting or if you are happy for the young person to make their own way home, or if arangements change.
• If a child chooses to leave early they are no longer the responsibility of The Lounge staff. We will encourage them to stay for the whole session, but this cannot be enforced if they choose to leave. If you wish to know that your child has arrived at The Lounge we kindly ask that this be the young person’s responsibility. They can use the phone at The Lounge and prompts to do this will be made when they sign in.
• The young people will be able to purchase additional food/drinks via a tuck shop at The Lounge.
• All activities are risk assessed against the National Youth Agency guidance. On occassion we may take the Youth to The Meadows within the session.
• The Lounge takes its responsibility to safeguarding very seriously. It has a safeguarding policy which states if we are concerned about the wellbeing or safety of a young person we will take appropriate action. This may involve talking to other professionals – we will always look to notify you first in the event that we need to do this, as long as it doesn’t delay help or put the young person at any further risk.
• The Lounge has a behaviour policy and a set of rules that the young people are made aware of. If we have any behaviour concerns we may enforce consequences. Again we will explain this fully to the young person and if necessary to the parent/carer too.
• Please make sure all prior medical conditions are detailed above and the child has any medications required with them. If required, you give permission for medical treatment to be carried out if necessary.
