The Colorado Chautauqua and Cal-Wood Education Center are excited to partner on another special community art project to help care for two Colorado treasures!
We are calling on Front Range artists to decorate birdhouses that were constructed using wood salvaged from majestic trees devastated by the Cal-Wood Fire.
Birdhouses will be on display at the Colorado Chautauqua National Historic Landmark, September 16 - October 16, 2022.
The public art exhibit will be free to the public. An online auction will run concurrent with the exhibit and will close on October 16, with winners announced on Ocotber 17–the second anniversary of the Cal-Wood Fire.
Auction proceeds will support Colorado Chautauqua's critical wildfire prevention campaign and Cal-Wood Education Center's extensive, ongoing wildfire recovery efforts.
Artists will receive a $100 stipend and a share of the auction proceeds.
