Lakes Proud Business Event Scholarship

Help us spread the Lakes Proud message!
We’ve created a Lakes Proud fund where your business can submit to have event marketing expenses reimbursed by incorporating Lakes Proud into your event. Minimum reimbursement is $150.

Add Lakes Proud to an event you’re already doing to help offset event costs. Available to all nonprofits and for-profit small businesses!

You could get reimbursed to incorporate Lakes Proud into an event in 2023.

Get creative...we're looking for ways you can add Lakes Proud to an in-person event.

Here are a few ideas to help you get started! This isn't an exhaustive list. Uses as ideas to get started or come up with your own ideas.

· Add the Lakes Proud logo to community sports team’s shirts.

· Add Lakes Proud to nonprofit and community events and programs. Brand Lakes Proud on craft kits or add Lakes Proud to your craft.

· Buy Local/Lakes Proud coloring contest.

· Add a Lakes Proud booth to your nonprofit craft market or farmers market.

· Co-brand and add the Lakes Proud logo to your giveaway merch at event.

· Use the Lakes Proud table cloths and sandwich boards to support your activity or promotion at your event.*

· Do a Lakes Proud activity (maybe it’s a drawing, a game, etc.)

· Use the Lakes Proud photo props* for social media content and engagement.

· Facebook LIVE, Facebook, Instagram posts where you tag Lakes Proud and include the buy local, support community messaging.

· Social media posts leading up to your event with Lakes Proud tagged and support local messaging added.

· Use Lakes Proud logo to sponsor some part of your event expense. For example, if you're renting portable restrooms, add a Sponsored by Lakes Proud sign to help offset the cost.

Once you complete this form, the Lakes Proud committee will review. We will send an email confirmation once your event has been approved.

Event submissions are due by December 1.

Criteria for Reimbursement

Once your event is over, email photos/screenshots of how you incorporated Lakes Proud to trisha@explorebrainerdlakes.com. Reimbursement will not be issued without proof of the event and incorporating Lakes Proud.

*Lakes Proud photo sign, table cloths, and sandwich board are available for free to use on a first come, first served basis. Available at the Brainerd Chamber office.
