Eleventh and twelfth-grade students may leave Bellaire High School campus during Cardinal Hour only if a parent or guardian grants permission and approval is given by the Assistant Principal.

Once a Home Lunch Permit is submitted, the Assistant Principal will check the student's academic/discipline status and verify permission with the parent. Students should monitor their HISD email for an approval notice from their Assistant Principal. Once approved students will receive an ID that indicates that they can leave campus during Cardinal Hour. A student must show their ID to leave campus.

Failure of students to abide by the policy and maintain good standing as a student may result in the privilege being revoked.

My son/daughter has my permission to eat lunch at home. I relieve the Houston Independent School district of all responsibility for his/her safety. All HISD rules of conduct apply during this interim of the day. I understand that if my child goes to lunch any place other than, home he/she will be in violation of the Houston and Harris County’s daytime curfew which may result in a citation being issued by the police if the student is apprehended.

I have reviewed the school conditions above for maintaining this privilege and agree the Assistant Principal will terminate the permit at any time if my child does not continue to meet these conditions. I understand another application must be completed the following semester to have the privilege reinstated once it is terminated. I understand a new student ID must be purchased for $5.00 if the privilege is reinstated.
