STUDENT DRIVING AND PARKING AGREEMENT FOR EARLY BIRD

I understand that permission to drive to the Grundy Area Vocational Center and to park in the Center’s lot is a privilege. It is granted only to specific categories of students whose educational needs will be best served by permission to drive personal vehicles. I understand my vehicle may be searched while on school property and that any and all nicotine, tobacco, alcohol, drug, paraphernalia, or weapons are strictly forbidden.

If granted permission to drive to the Center and to park in the Center lot, I agree:

1. To obtain the written permission of my parent or guardian and home school administrator.
2. To accept no passengers unless specific written permission has been granted to carry passengers either to or from the Center on either a temporary or permanent basis.
3. To comply with any special conditions which have been placed on my driving and parking privileges.
4. To park only in designated sections of the lot at my clinical site.
5. To drive in a reasonable and safe manner (PARKING LOT SPEED LIMIT 5 MPH).
6. To yield right-of-way to all pedestrians in the High School parking lot, the Center parking lot, and my assigned site location.
7. To notify GAVC Administration when conditions which may affect my driving situation have changed.
8. To stop my vehicle while in the Center lot or the Morris High School driveway, at the direction of any teacher, administrator or other Center staff member and to identify myself.

I understand that any violation of these conditions will result in the loss of my driving privilege to my site and/or other disciplinary action.

Due to the large number of Early Bird students this school year, it is highly recommended that these students carpool to GAVC. Please see the carpooling section of this form below.

As the parent/guardian, I consent to allow my student to drive to and from Grundy Area Vocational Center. I consent to allow only the students listed below to be passengers in my student's vehicle.
