The most common requests we receive for Stay n' Study pups are mitigating behaviors such as Jumping Up, socializing, and general house manners.  We also introduce the Five Core Cues of Come, Sit, Down, Stay, and Place, while practicing the concepts of loose leash walking.  All Stay n' Study programs include social exposure in small group settings with dogs of similar age, size, and play style, along with meeting new people and new environments to help round out their confidence in all settings.  Dogs with a history of aggression towards people or dogs must be disclosed so management strategies may be prepped and practiced during their stay.
In the event of overly fearful cases, the Stay n' Study program will be modified to meet the dog's behavioral needs.  This is in effort to embolden their confidence and ready them for their new home, by meeting their needs where they are and gently lifting them as they meet successful benchmarks.
All Stay n' Study pups receive on-site care and training at our home, along with an in-depth behavior report that highlights their strengths and challenges with both dogs and people.  Promotional media such as pictures and video will also be provided in order to boost their adoption views.
Approved Shelter and Rescue Partners are eligible to participate in our Stay n' Study program for a reduced rate of $500 per week of training and care.  All transportation must be provided for both pick-up and drop-off purposes as we are unable to provide taxi services.  Vaccination records must reflect a current Rabies vaccination serial/lot number and a current Distemper/Parvo combination.
