Many dogs and their handlers in this category share the responsibility of life-saving efforts such as bomb-detection, search and rescue, police, military and border patrol. Feel free to nominate an animal, an animal advocate or a group that represents working animals. NOT-FOR-PROFIT, RESCUES, OR HUMANE SOCIETIES -An award that recognizes groups that might consist of, or work with/in rescue groups, Humane Societies, non-profits and any other group that represents animal advocacy. FOR-PROFIT ANIMAL BUSINESS - For-profit businesses that go above and beyond for animals welfare in their daily operations or via their work in the community. VANGUARD AWARD - Cutting edge science/research and/or entrepreneurialism for healing animals. ANIMALTARIAN -  A miscellaneous category, someone or a group of people who are deserving of recognition who might not fit in any of the other categories. GRACE'S JUNIOR ANIMAL HERO - An award that recognizes individuals in their youth (17 years & under) that have demonstrated exemplary contributions to animal welfare. This award was inspired by a young and faithful FACE Foundation supporter, Grace Bostwick.
