The Calvert County Department of Economic Development is seeking to understand the Town of Chesapeake Beach's interest in being considered as a potential location for a Bay Ferry stop. If the Town were to be determined to meet the feasibility requirements patrons could be transported to and from the Town of Chesapeake Beach by water, with the ability to cross from the western shore to the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
The project is in the feasibility phase of potential locations for the ferry to stop.
It will be up to the State of Maryland to determine the Calvert County Bay Ferry Stop location(s). The current locations being considered for a feasibility study are the Town of Chesapeake Beach, the Town of North Beach and Solomons Island.
Calvert County Department of Economic Development will make a presentation to the Chesapeake Beach Town Council during the July 21st Town Council meeting starting at 7:00 PM at the Chesapeake Beach Town Hall.
The Town requests that citizens provide public comment on this project during the meeting on July 21st of via the form linked below.
